Default Carista - folding mirrors

I used the Carista app to change some settings on my car, worked well. I set the mirrors to fold in when the car is locked, but it isn't working. Are there any other settings I need to be aware of? Thank you.

Is your GS350 model year 2014 and newer? Is your car equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring and Intuitive Park Assist? Lexus started adding power folding mirrors on the GS in 2014 when they are equipped with BSM and IPA.

If yes to both things above, then there should be a button marked Auto in your mirror controls that allow the mirrors to fold when you lock the car.

Yup -it's. a 2016 F Sport. Has BSM, IPA and power mirrors, but the mirrors don't fold when car is locked.

There should be a "Auto" button right next to the mirror adjustment control. That's it!

You need the auto button on and one of the mirrors (left or right) selected. Then on the FOB, hit lock. It will not work if you lock the car with the door open then close it. Only when the FOB lock is hit (doors closed) and the two other buttons are selected.

Carista app not required.

To further clarify, you can but do NOT have to use the FOB. You can also lock the car with FOB in pocket, and sliding finger across lock indent on grab handle. I have a 15' F-Sport and power folding mirrors are fine.

And look at that. I didn't even know the car had that feature! Is that what that little indent is? Haha!
