Abandon all hope of your navigation OS ever getting functionally better. Apple just came out with ios10 that added new functionality to iPhones. Lexus will not do that, they want you to buy a new car. I knew when I bought my 14 GS that they would go to full screen nav maps in upcoming years and I KNEW then and there they would notttttttttt have an operating system firmware upgrade to make that available on my 14. I knew what I was getting and did anyway, it still pisses me off.

Warning - Update at your own Risk!
Had my '15 GS in for 10K service and asked for the software update. Tech said he tried to update several times and it would't take. Driving home and noticed I have no Bluetooth. The option to turn it on is grayed out. Don't know what else is also dead as I just got home. To the dealer's credit they're sending someone out to pick up the car and fix. No small courtesy since they're 45 mins away.
Glad I didn't update it myself and make it a warranty fight.

I just did mine, myself. It did take quite a while, but no problems to report. Once the update was complete, the NAV screen went blank for what seemed like a long time. Then the disclaimer finally came up, it stayed there for several minutes. Finally it was completely done and things are back to normal.

The dealer returned the GS with the update and everything is back to normal. The tech said a "hard reset" fixes most software issues. Does anyone know the process for a hard reset?
