Default 2017 BMW 5 Series V GS350 F Sport

Now that BMW has released information on the new 2017 5 Series, how do you think the BMW 540 will compare to the GS350 F Sport? Would you buy a 2016 Lexus or wait for the BMW?

BMW 540 will blow the GS350 away honestly...but like joedaddy said, IF you can afford it. I am sure they will put the lease numbers aggressive enough to compete with GS350, E400, and CTS

Even a 335 blows GS's away and I did check out the newer 535 and man they are in a league of their own no comparison whatsoever.

Yeah man... F10 BMW are dropping in prices now....If GS and 535 are same price, I'd get 535 especially if buyer as itch to mod.

Over the previous 535, I would take the GS. Over the 17 540, I'm not so sure.

I still like this older comparison test:

the f10 isn't mod friendly like most would think. the n55 motor mod capability is nothing like the n54 in the e60. i'm curious about the b58 motor as it is in the new 7 series as well.

MPG is over rated. It really depend on the driver's driving habits. I averaged 26mpg combined on my GS350.

lol if you're heavy on the pedal you aren't gonna get much. I used to have an e60 550i and i typically got 22mpg mixed and 26 hwy. other people i know averaged 16mpg mixed...

That engine in the lighter 340i is rated at 33 on the highway so there's no way it's going to get 40 in the larger, heavier 5 Series.

Everything will blow GS350 away these days. Lexus is so behind when it comes to new engines. GS needed a new engine like 4 years ago.

They need a new big engine, that's for sure, but as far as new engines go, don't forget the 2 liter turbo they're putting out for the IS, NX and GS. New is new right?
