Default Upgrades worth it?

I'm thinking about purchasing the Paint Protection film and the Illuminated door sills for my car. Wanted to get opinions on if these upgrades will hold any value, and how much does the paint protection really work? I do plan on keeping the car for a while.

I just did the illuminated door sills myself over the previous weekend. A fairly easy upgrade that cost me around $260. I doubt if it will add any value to the car, but like you I plan on keeping it for several years and did it more for "myself" than any potential increase in resale value.

I would do the film protection considering the low miles you have. My friend has Expel on all of his cars and swears by it. It's not cheap but will protect against most chips, and he says the bugs clean off much easier. The Expel serves a purpose and the sills do not.

I recommend a clear bra if you are concern about resale. I have a clear bra covering my entire bumper and 1/4 of my fenders and hood. It does an amazing job at deflecting rock chips. If you plan on purchasing anything for your vehicle, I would invest in this most definitely.

Paint protection is by far (beyond mechanical maintenance & preservation) the best investment for the vehicle look and resale. There a couple protection services out there, but as stated, they're pretty expensive and should only be applied if the paint is perfect. XPEL is also a great additional layer of protection. All have significant value and make for a much easier time keeping the car show quality.
