Introduction and Questions
Just wanted to introduce myself. I am in the process of researching cars as a replacement for my MY2013 Toyota Avalon. I love my car but would prefer something sportier. There are several reasons why I'm considering the GS350 F Sport including reliability, resale, appearance, performance, and of course safety. This photo helps illustrate a big reason why I am choosing a Lexus.
This was my Dad's GX460 after he fell asleep at the wheel and launched 30 feet in the air and landed head first in a dirt culvert in Northern New Mexico. The State Trooper told him he'd never seen anyone survive this type of accident. Unbelievably, he and my step mother were both able to unfasten their seat belts, open the doors, and walk away from the vehicle. Thank you Lexus for keeping my Dad alive...Oh, and my step mom too.
Questions:
1. Does the F Sport have any additional maintenance required or service bulletins as compared to the std model?
2. I am considering either a 2015-2016 CPO or new if the price is right. Should I expect more 2015/2016 lease returns to hit towards the end of the year or will they be more plentiful in January or February?
3. Can anyone in the DFW area recommend a dealership or a specific sales person they've worked with that they trust (private message me please).
Thanks in advance for any advice you can send my way.

I was a big Toyota guy and trust their safety record (among a bunch of other criteria). I did a bunch of research for a cpo 2014/15, including some questions here.
I eventually bought my sig car and am enjoying the investment.
As far lease returns, I'm sure as 17s start, a flurry of 14-16 will be back on the market for under 35k.
I am still new here so I can't comment on tsb and maintenance over a standard vs fsport. The fs trim is just undeniably well done and if you're a tech buff, the custom additions are outstanding.
There are some complaints about rwd vs awd and 6spd vs 8spd vs cvt (hybrid) all of which (to me) are irrelevant unless you're racing it around a track. Compared to what I was driving, it's living out a dream.

There is a 2014 here http://driversselect.com/Used-2014-L...TX/vd/38289888 worth a look at. I purchased my 15 F-sport with no issues. for the 2015 there has been no recalls yet. The maintenance issue is the front brake pad/rotor replacement. No one has found a non-oem alternative for the F-sport RWD cars. I personally chose the better price over a CPO vehicle because the vehicle I purchased still had plenty of yrs/mileage left on the original warranty.

Thanks for all the responses and for the referral from DallasDave. I went for a test drive and have absolutely fallin' in love. The 2016 GS350 F Sport I demo'd handled great, had plenty of power, and was super comfortable. Now the tough part, trying to get the best deal.
