Is this a common issue? I'm shopping for an F sport right now and I see random songs on the aluminum trim on a lot of the cars I've looked at.

Covered under a Service Bulletin if you are still under warranty. Take a print out in to the dealer, I had mine both done.

Had mine replaced by dealer under warranty, no hassle. They say it's $1000 parts+labor if outside warranty.

The first thing I noticed when I looked at my 4GS was the door panels. I thought that looks like crap, I will have to do a CF vinyl wrap or something. I saw the TSB on here and took it to the local dealer (not where I got the car) and they replaced them no questions asked. They still look good after a year.
