Help Choosing Spacers for 20x9
I think I've screwed up trying to change out the wheels, and I could use advice from those who have done this before... I'm getting conflicting advice on spacers.
2015 GS F-Sport - I wanted to move to a square setup so that I could get more life out of all four tires. Switched to 20x9 wheels and the local NTB recommended 245/40-20 tires. I'm getting some rubbing in the front with tight turns... rubbing at the wheel, not just the tire.
First, is there a different tire that would fix the problem, perhaps 245/35-20? I don't think so since the wheel is also rubbing.
Second, should I add spacers and which spacers? NTB will only install bolt-on spacers and they recommend 1" spacers. After searching the forums here, it sounds like 1" spacers would create rubbing on the outside. That post recommended 10mm or 15mm spacers, but is that enough to avoid the rubbing on the inside?
Is anyone running a similar setup and can you recommend the correct spacers?
The tire shops seem hesitant to recommend spacers, so who do I trust? This should be a simple math problem, but I'm not sure who the experts are... so I'm turning to the Club Lexus experts.

I recently sold my BMW 5 series and have three sets of wheel spacers. I wonder if they would work on the GS models. If so, today's your lucky day...
I have 10mm, 12mm and 15mm. Each comes with longer bolts - that would probably be of no use to you, but wouldn't you need to install longer threaded studs (especially with the 15mm spacers)?
I see you are in Texas, I'm in McKinney. You can have all three sets for $150. Heck, if you are local buy all three sets. When you decide which ones to keep, I'll give you the money back on the ones you return to me.
10mm

12mm
12mm
15mm (the brand is Turner and there is no box)

Thanks Dave, but that doesn't really help answer my questions. I'm not sure what spacers would work best, so buying your BMW spacers doesn't seem like my wisest course of action right now.

2. spacers would depend on the the offset of the wheels you have. you'd want that info on hand so someone to elaborate.

There is not a lot of extra room for large tires on the GS. A 245/35 should help. I would not use spacers unless you really need to. Especially a 1" spacer. That's 25 mm
