Default Won't start after sitting for 2 days

My car sat for two days. I tried to unlock the doors and got nothing so I unlocked it manually. I had to give it a jump. I replaced my battery about 3-4 mos ago so I don't think that's it's. I must say I never had more problems with any other car I've owned. From day one its one thing after another.

How far were your keys from vehicle, while it sat? The car and keys communicate over transponder if close enough. That puts a small drain on battery.

Both keys were inside my house, if I had to take a wild guess I'd say 25-30 feet away.

Did you buy your car new or used? Just wondering if it might be a problem carryover from a prior owner.

What kind of battery did you put in it? A bad battery is possible.

Occasionally I leave the vehicle without it shutting completely off, there is a power on mode before engine ready mode, then finally engine on. Usually the car dings at me when it happens, one time I ignored it and the car wouldn't start the next morning. Had it jumped and it started right away, battery charged up and since then (2 years ago) no dead batteries. I have been careful to notice whether the car is completely off or not before I walk away.

I was on vacation for 30 days and on returning it started first time like normal, how many miles on your car could be the alternator. When it stops charging the battery.

I had the same problem with my car a few months ago. Turns out there was a recall or TSB for one of the power control units that was defective. It would draw a small load even when the car was off causing the battery to die. I don't remember the exact name of the unit but if you search the forum I know there's a thread about it.

Mine sits in the garage for a month or more at a time and never have had an issue with the battery draining.
