The L shape seems to have a tighter fit from what I have read and does not really have the gap so wind noise would be less of a potential issue then SK Style. I see you put in the mesh grills, did you remove the bumper when you attached them?

I removed the bumper to swap the top and bottom grille. There is a hidden screw at the bottom corners of the chrome trim that you might not be able to reach unless removing the bumper. The grille for the top was direct plug-n-play but the bottom required trimming off some clips.

Do you remember which bottom clips you trimmed?

I only remember which tabs but there were a couple tabs on the bottom that needs to be removed or it won't fit.

What do people think would look better, leaving the SK style chin spoiler the standard matte black it comes in or painting it gloss black to match my black car, maintenance wise it would probably be easier just to leave so there are no chips or scrapes but gloss black might look nice too.

It really depends on what you like. Try putting it on first to see if you like it with the standard black. If not, get it painted gloss black.

It you like gloss black, wrap it in gloss black vinyl (sand first, or course) as a cheaper option.

I did install the SK style lip on my non F sport a few months ago, not the easiest of jobs but I got it to work, so far it seems fine, took my car to 95mph yesterday and did not hear any noise or see any issues. I only used screws, had to drill a few more, drill different holes to get it to line up and do a little dremmel work to get it to fit but nothing major. There are fairly large gaps on the left and right side but you don't really notice them unless you get down lower, I chose not to tape the lip up to the body of the car to fill in the gaps and just left them as gaps because of possible down force causing some problems and it possible acting like a snow plow in the snow and causing a lot of snow to collect in that area which some have reported on their F sports with the SK style lip, with the gaps the snow and air just goes through the gaps.

Ordered this lip thanks to this thread and can say it's a great look for the non F Sport being it's made for the F Sport bumper.
