I was wondering if any of you folks ever tracked your cars and purchased HPDE insurance from a 3rd party.

If so, what was your experience? What was the cost for one day on the track? If applicable, did you crash your car and need it to be repaired? Did the HPDE insurance cover you? What happens to the GAP policy if it is a total loss?

I work for RLI Track Day and thought I could help with some of your questions.
Lots of auto insurers now have language in their policy that excludes HPDE events. Our policy is designed to fill this hole so your car is still covered.
We've underwritten over 10,000 drivers and handled hundreds of claims since our first HPDE policy back in 2008.

If something happens on the track (or in the paddock), you are assigned one claim adjuster that will see you through from start to finish.

If your vehicle is totaled in a covered loss, you get the Agreed Value minus your deductible. What you do with that money is up to you.

Lockton Insurance does HPDE insurance also. Did it for $250 for a 2 day event with Drivers Edge for my GT
