All,
I have a 2015 GS with Nav and continue to be frustrated by the antiquity of the media player. For example, I have a USB stick with 1,500 songs. I ask the system to play a given artist (either through voice command or screen) and it will play one song by that artist. Sometimes I am just in the mood to hear a given artist.... Is there a way to make the system stay playing the same artist for multiple songs? One suggestion had been to use an IPOD, put the library on that, and do it that way. Does anyone know it that works? The other suggestion was to generate playlists for selected artists and play the playlist. Does that work?

Yes, I use an iPod and that will play all songs of a given artist by using voice command. I have a 2013 GS.

mrpink13 - I generated my USB library using Windows Media Player which maintains a folder structure based on album not artist. Do you know an easy way to tell WMP to build the folder structure based on artist?

My 2014 with ML play's Artists just fine from a USB stick with 4000 songs on it or from an iPod with 6000 songs on it.
It takes about 15 minutes before the system can read all the songs on the USB stick so that it will allow you to choose an Artist via voice command.
