My wife's IS has Yoko YK580's and they impressed me enough to consider them for my GS. The 580's have been discontinued and replaced by YK740 GTX. I decided to give them a try and early on I'm pretty impressed. Quiet, butter smooth and excellent grip. The best part is they're very affordable. So if you don't want to pay the Michelin marketing premium these look to be a good choice. JMHO

Used two sets of Yokohama's like those on my old G35 sedan before. Discount Tire special models. Decent tread life, good performance, quieter than Potenzas.

I just got a set of the YK740 GTX for my 2014 Lexus GS350 F Sport AWD | 235/40R19. I needed a performance all-season tires that handle well in the snow. They are much quieter and handle better than my stock Michelin Primacy MXM4. Better warranty and rating. They were $200 cheaper for the set. Plus, I heard they are discontinuing the Primacy. The Primacy handled well in the snow. Hopefully, I will get a better life out of these tires. My Primacy only had 30,000 miles.

I too have YK580 for all the cars in my household! Awesome tires indeed! Hopefully YK740 will be as good, if not better.

Interesting - thanks for sharing your opinions on the YK740 GTX. I may have to look into those when I get around to replacing my Primacy MXM4 as well. Sadly, I don't think mine will hold up that long either.

I wonder how the Yokohama YK740 GTX compares to the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus.. I know one is a "Performance" tire while the other is a "Grand Touring" tire. I am guessing the P7 will be more quiet/comfortable.

Hope to read more reviews on the tire as they come up. I may have to PM you in the future after you get more miles on your tires to see if you're still liking them or how they are holding up. Tirerack doesn't seem to have them on their site unfortunately.

Like I mentioned before, Yokohama had a special model of tire exclusively sold through discount tire, so you may want to check their website for reviews.
