Default Saying Goodbye.. Again

Got an 06 IS350 back then which I still think about to this day. One of my favorite builds.

Then got into a '14 GS350 F Sport White w/ Red Interior. Light mods but also had a daughter so didn't do much to this car. Overall though, one of the best cars I've owned. Going to miss it. I was debating of another GS but don't like the rear at all and the deals suck for it even for the loyalty discount offer.

Picked up a '16 535i M Sport fully loaded. The tech is much better and the little features is a step up of the GS. Drives great IMO. Love the HUD! I don't know why Lexus makes it so rare to find for the GS. Another reason why I chose not to get back into a GS.

Congrats. I have told myself several times that some day I will own a BMW but haven't pulled the the trigger as of yet. Love my '14 F Sport. The 5 M Sport is a great choice. Enjoy!

Thank you everyone for the comment. My brother has an M3 so I joined him brand wise. '14 GS F Sport will be missed though.

Had a 2012" 535 M sports pre-Lci had front left shock leak, valve cover leak and many more and all that happened right after factory warranty was over, didn't have the time and patience to go through all the hassle. I do miss the gr8 ride and response of the turbos but I would rather spend the time with kids then the repair shop. Love the color.

Nice choice beautiful color, thinking of getting one as well if the 16 GS 350 lease deals dont improve by end of the year.

PM me the deal you got.

Your all too common experience is why I've always owned Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Honda, Toyota and Nissan cars. Although I did have a bad transmission on my '01 Acura CL, 2 leaking struts on a new 2006 Civic and a bad window actuator on our '03 ES300. The numerous other cars were trouble free.

I've always avoided owning European brands because of the stories I hear. Stuck to Acura, Infiniti and Lexus. Even my brother with his past issues on the 335i with the fuel pump issues. However, my brother switched to an M3 - no issues. Now a 2016 M3 - no issues. I haven't heard much problems now with their newer cars. *knock on wood* All I can say is that as much as how reliable the '14 GS was, the feel and drive of the BMW is different. I can get used to this. Let's just hope there's no issue.

Congrats love the color.

I've had my M4 for a year with 12k miles now. Two oil changes and zero problem. Literally not even a rattle in the car. The GS was a great car and I loved it but I've have not missed that car for even one second. I don't even miss the fact that the GS had 4 doors lol.

I'm leasing both cars so reliability is not a concern. Having said that by one year my GS had a dead battery and brake squeals. The dealer could not get rid of that brake problem after 3 visits and rotor/pads replacement. Nevertheless, if I were to keep the BMW I would have it certified for peace of mind.

I like your new ride! If Lexus don't step up with its performance I'm afraid my next car won't be a Lexus. How about giving us a review of its performance, handling and what have you comparing it to the GS?

I will review it once I break it in. So far though, the drive is more comfortable than the GS IMO. I've heard mixed reviews on BMW's steering overall but me personally, I like how it drives. I just did a quick take off from stop and you can feel the torque with no turbo lag.

Technology wise, the 5 is much better than the GS. They finally added all the lane departure warning, adaptive cruise crontrol, etc package for the new GS but I find it odd that they make so little GS with HUD. You can probably find on the new RX easier than on the GS. The HUD is so informative and you don't need to look down anymore. You can control the radio, phone, navigation through the HUD. It's easier to find on BMW than on Lexus. Overall, I think I made the right choice of switching over than to stay with Lexus.

I do miss the rear traffic alert and the option of the mirrors folding when you lock the doors, but you can easily code the BMW for cheap as a whole package to do that.
