So I tapped into the inside fuse box to hard wire the radar detector however the fuse tap is bigger than the low profile fuses so i can't put the white cover back on. Could this potentially be a problem if I leave the fuse cover off?

I tapped the passenger side fuse box and had to jettison the cover as it won't fit over the tap. Since the panel is behind the lower glove box panel it can't be kicked so I'm not worried.

do you have any pics of how you got the cover on?

The cover isn't on. It won't fit over the tap.

got it. so you just left the cover off? and no problems right?

No problems. When I sell or trade the car I'll pull the tap and replace the fuse cover.
