Default 2013 GS 350 or 2017 ES 350

Hey guys! I am stuck on trying to figure out which car would be best for me. I would love your guys opinion. I am either looking into a 2013-2015 GS-350 used with roughly 15k miles or a new 2017 ES 350. I love how the 2017 ES-350 looks like but I love the room and power of the GS-350s. Also the Gs-350 would be almost $10k cheaper. I know I can't go wrong with either one! Let me know what you guys think!

Depending on your taste I would consider taking an ES for my wife. For myself I would take an IS all day over ES to me it's lil too subtle boring you may call it. You can't go wrong with GS.

Do you think a drive through a 12 mile twisty canyon or mountainous road is a chore or fun?

If chore, the ES. If you look forward to it, then GS.

is there a difference in looks between 2013 gs to the 2015 gs except that 2015 is newer?

If you want genuine rear leg stretching space, plush seats, a genuinely smooth and quiet ride - go ES.

If you want sharper exterior styling, more expensive interior plastics and leather, superior fit & finish, firm sports-oriented bucket seats, 10% quicker acceleration, superb handling, and higher equipment levels - go GS.

If you're after bags of rear leg stretching space, soft plush foam seating, and a dead smooth and a dead quiet ride, and you purchase the GS - you may be disappointed.

I'm confused by your statement that you love the "room" of the GS. The ES is significantly more roomy than the GS. The GS does have the power, as you noted.

This is a GS forum, so our opinions will probably lean on the GS. If you believe you can't go wrong with either of them, then clearly get car that is both cheaper and more fun to drive!

These are two very different cars. It really depends on what you like to deal with everyday, do you like comfort and not a sporty ride. Do you enjoy driving your car or do you just want something close to an LS feel in a car.

I'm not a used car person, I would always choose the new car, so in this case I would get the ES.

I had several ES's before I upgraded to the GS in 2013, the main reason I did so was the interior as I was really unhappy with the interior of the then 2013 ES. What I found surprised me, I actually appreciated the solid, more substantial ride and feel of the GS. Lots of other little quality touches in the GS that the ES lacks.

BUT, the 2016 ES refresh has solved a lot of my issues...had the 2016 been the ES that existed in 2012, I likely would not have upgraded to the GS...

I would have got another ES for comfort had the C pillar area and rear been styled a bit better.

The new updated design came out in 2016 so knowing the Lexus cars I don't think they'll be releasing a newer design in 2017.

It will be basically the same, but there will be a 2017 model and it will be out in a couple months.
