Default Is this a good L/Certified lease ?

I came across a silver/black 2014 GS F Sport AWD, 19,000 miles, ML audio, HUD, cold weather pk., etc. MSRP of $62,200. Asking $39,900 or a 15k/36mo. lease for $585/mo. incl. tax and fees, first payment plus $415 down. Is the lease a good deal?
Before I bought my '14 obsidian I was looking for a silver with ML. I know they will probably kill me on a trade but the lease is intriguing to me.

Im paying $550 tax included on my 2015 Gs 350 f sport msrp , $60,XXX.

Why would you pay that much for a used car? $300-400 is what the payments need to be for that car. Might as well lease a new car if your going to pay that much.

Wait, you got a '14 and now you want another '14 in different color? I'm confused.

I'd have to crunch the numbers in the morning but it seems a little high.. should be around 500ish a month I would think.

Also bear in mind that CPO leases include 15K miles a year and this is a ML/HUD Equipped car... A quick and dirty in my head calculation has me around $700/mo sign and drive on a new one with NJ taxes with this equipment and at 15K/year.

I sell a ton of GSs and HUD equipped F-Sports are downright rare.

Assuming this is, say, 19,500 miles... residual should be $24,400 for 3 years. Tier 1+ Money Factor is .00110 (740+ Score).

Last Ohio lease I did I seem to remember that tax was on the payment.... Bank fee is $700, I figure they probably have a ca $500 dealer fee.. If someone has a lease calculator and beats me to it... If not I'll check in the morning.

Rld14 sounds like a typical salesman.

$700 sign and drive on a 2014 car with 19k miles?

OP with $700 a month you can get in a brand new 2016 with less than 10 miles.

I think that "rld14" is a great asset to the forum here. He deals in GS's everyday and knows the #'s. I know that I'll be contacting him when I'm ready to buy one in 2018. I have seen him help many people here on the page steer away from GS's that are not so good $$ wise.

Yea I would take his advice on pricing and quality of lexus cars more than anyone else. He's not exactly forcing anybody to buy from him so he's not being a salesman at all. Just a regular forum member trying to help.

Thanks guys

I'm not trolling for business here, you'll notice I cross off my dealership's name whenever I post pics.

OK, back to the subject at hand...

Here's how we calculate a residual on this car and we will assume 19K miles actually means 19,875.

$22,550 Base residual 36 months, 2014 GS350 AWD
$825 Low miles add (24,000-19875 = 4,125 x 20c ea mile)

So that's $23,375

Equipment adds:

$175 ML
$400 Navi
$75 Heated Seats
$150 Premium Wheels
$75 Parking Assist

Add an additional $100 if it has a factory lip spoiler but I don't know that for certain......

So $24,250.

If I am correct...

With $1,000 at signing including the first payment ****AND MAKING THE FOLLOWING ASSUMPTIONS***:

That your sales tax is 7% on the payment like most states
That the dealer charges a $500 doc fee
That motor vehicle is $300

I have $576.26/mo

Price of the car is about right. Rates have gone up on GS CPO lease.... I stand corrected. Last one I did was a base F SPort with Navi and it was low 500s with 1st payment at signing. Come to think of it that car was around $37500... I shouldn't post while half asleep.

What you are getting is a good deal. My local dealership is doing this deal:
14' GS F Sport AWD (White on Black)
37k miles
(NO ML/NO HUD); Cold Wthr Pkg, IPA, BSM, Nav, Pwr Mirrors
3yr/36k mile lease w/$1875 Down
$485 month

The car you are getting has lower miles, lower up front payments and some unique/rare options with the HUD/ML.

I think you can try to negotiate them down and can get it down to $550-560 a month...

How I ended up buying a 2014 Obsidian GS is a long story. My Lexus dealer was advertising a liquid platinum 2013 F Sport with ML, HUD, etc. back in Dec. it only had 13k on it. They purchased it from Lexus and it was in transit from another state when I called about it. The salesman promised to hold it until I looked at it as it had the Chardonney interior and I wasn't sure if I'd like it. He called me and said the car will be here in the next couple hours. I drove to the dealership, an hour away, and when I arrived I was greeted by the sales mgr. and told the car had just been sold over the Internet, sight unseen by the buyer. I was livid and let them know it. The salesman then pulled up the 2014 Obsidian w/o ML/HUD. I told them black was out of the question as I have had several black cars and at 64 I didn't want to deal with the constant attention black requires. I'm too **** about my cars to tolerate a layer of dust, if I can see it. And we all know how quick black looks dirty.
To smooth over the fact that they sold a car out from under me they pretty much sold me the '14 for the price of the '13. Over the winter I got this car standing tall. A Porter Cable DA polisher, Finesse It 2, Meguiares Polish and their Black Wax has her looking showroom new. But I find myself not wanting to drive it because of the work involved to get it looking good. I'm probably OCD but my last car was silver, drove it every day and would sometimes go 2 weeks without even washing it. Black, on the other hand drives me crazy. A love/ hate relationship....kinda like my wife come to think of it. So...that's why I'm interested in this other 2014. It's the color I originally wanted and of course the ML audio is amazing.
