2013 Luxury or 2014 non-Luxury?

Personally, I would take a 2013 with the Lux pkg over the base 2014. Drove a black on flaxen '13 Lux before purchasing a non-Lux model and thought the Lux drove well and had so many nice bells/whistles (I didn't buy it b/c the interior had a tear in the drivers seat and was too scuffed up everywhere). The price wasn't too much more for the Lux at the time but I was in need of a car sooner than later.
Not enough changes between the model years to warrant buying a non-lux '14 over a Lux '13. Lux has the Adaptive Suspension/Sport+ mode (similar to F-sport), has the better adjustable seats and nicer wood trim.
Plus, a CPO '13 Lux with low mileage can be had for a great price ($30-$32k)

I would get the luxury any day, most prominent different is the 18 position front seats, sexy interior wooden trim, suspension settings, headlights are upgraded aswell. Only thing sucks on luxury are the wheels which can be easily changed and not a big deal. I was looking for luxury aswell but only choice I got was base and F Sports. So I opted for Fsports.

I would go with a '13 Luxury rather than a '14 base. The Luxury model adds some great upgrades. Had I not went for an F Sport, I would have selected the Luxury version.

We have a 13 AWD Luxury, love it. Would take it over a Non- Luxury. One thing on the 2014, is that retractable mirrors and power trunk became standard on 2014 to present if those are important to you. They did not include those on the 13's and cant be added, The amenities on the Luxury are great as people have stated.

Luxury package FTW. Unless you plan on doing performance driving (F-sport + LDH) the Lux is the way to go. The headlights and seats are great and the added climate control is a nice plus.

Another F-Sport that I looked at did not have neither.

I stand corrected, I was under the impression that they did, all the GS's in my area had them.

Yes, I was as well. I agreed on a price for a 2015 F-Sport at a dealership 3 hours away from me. Luckily, I went to a local dealer the night before to check out basically the same car but they couldn't come down on price like the other dealer did. It was only then I noticed there's no BSM on the mirrors and found that there's also no power mirrors nor parking sensors. This car was MSRP at $58K. I emailed the other dealer right away to tell them, I'm not going to be picking up the car since it doesn't have these features I was looking for.

I too am considering either a 2013 or 2014 GS350. Either way I'm going with the luxury package.
I recently found out that the 2013 model will have a six speed automatic whereas the 2014 will have the eight speed unit. I don't know how big of a difference that might make in driving dynamics and/or fuel economy, but thought you should know.
The local Lexus dealerships are really pushing the 2013 units!

If you are down to two cars, take the luxury package. Wood rimmed steering wheel, upgraded front seats and rear seat climate/radio controls make it the way to go.
I've found several local units that also have the cold weather package: heated steering wheel, headlight washers and dual pane glass in both front doors. It seems the dealers aren't too familiar with all the options and the pricing is the same...so look for this option too.

Just to be clear, it's only the RWD versions that get the 8 speed. The AWD models continue with the 6 speed.

I have the '14 and to me the 8 about the same as the 6 (from my test drive experience). Some people much prefer the 6. My advice would be to treat the value of the specific car and its condition more heavily than the 13 vs. 14 differences.

Take the 2013 Luxury, no question.
