Considering GS--- Input Please
First time posting in this section but I'm considering purchasing a 2014 GS350 w/ Nav. It's gray on black with 31k miles. My current car is 3k flipped so i'm going to roll that into the GS. The selling price is $31,000 firm. Is this a good deal for the car? It is a one owner, clean carfax, FL car but it does not have service records. There are several scratches on the roof/doors and the interior has a few noticeable rips/holes. I drove the car and fell in love but don't think it has been taken care of. Is 31 a fair price? Any input? Is it worth it to save another grand or two and go down to a 13 model? Any inout is greatly appreciated!

I'd look for another one unless u can live with those damages. And don't get the 13 model, 14 gives u more bang for ur buck.
That poor GS.. nobody should treat a GS like that. Maybe he never changed the oil either.

If you are saving thousands in your area then I would buy it. Because the money you save, you can use a small fraction to fix the scratches behind the passenger's seat. You need to find out what the lowest and highest prices for a GS350 going and then analyze if the price is worth it. I know how much my 2015 cost (GS350 Fsport fully loaded RWD) about $58K new and if I could of got it for anywhere close to $31K after a year is a pretty good bargain. If you are serious, then see how much for a extended warranty as well. At the end of the day, if the extra money to fix the seat problems plus extended warranty is still less than a CPO then you got a great deal.

If they didn't take care of the interior or exterior of the car I'd be worried they didn't take care if it mechanically either. Unless you can live with the blemishes and can get full service records from your dealer I'd walk away.

Keep looking... Not sure what part of Florida you're in but a little more money (~$34k) can give you a much better certified car, with less miles here in South Florida. With some haggling you could get closer to $31k.

My exact thoughts. The car checked out and drove great but I would prefer it be in better cosmetic condition. I have been looking for a while but don't want to end up regretting purchasing a car with blemishes.

Thanks for the help! I'm in Northern FL. I would love to own a CPO Lexus but at 23, this ($31g) is the top of my budget.

Thanks for the heads up. I was unaware of the changes between 13-14 until last night.

Sorry, my post was misleading. I was trying to say I found similarly equipped GS350 models in GA and AL for $28-$30,000 but most were 2013 models and others didn't have NAV.

I would much rather have a nicely cared for 2013 model then that beat on 2014. MUCH rather. Its 99.8% the same car.

Even if the car was sound mechanically I would still walk away because with it being a Lexus those cosmetic blemishes it won't be cheap to repair them.

Would not buy any car for that much money with that type of damage. Highly recommend a certified 2013 model or a non-certified GS with a remaining factory warranty as there isn't much difference in looks/driveability/options:

Even the instrument cluster and steering wheel column are nasty looking with a thick layer of dust and grit all over. With all the rips, tears, gouges, scrapes and scratches the car has it's clear whoever owns/owned that car treated it like a rented mule. Personally, I would never buy that piece of crap. It's downright disgusting!
