I've had this car for 2 years and I'm liking it more and more!!! And every time I tried to trade it in, it felt like I'm going to make the biggest mistake of my life (well, aside from the negative equity disaster ) but really, this car is just that good! Well except maybe for the GSF (the V8 will make up for that ugly big gaping mouth). I've never had this problem with a car before.

The styling and curves are just . I think Lexus really nailed it on this GS.

I look at Carfax to value my trade in and it keeps going lower and lower. BUT....the fascia of the newer GS's are getting more and more polarizing, IMHO. The V8 is too expensive to be a daily and I don't drag or track my car.

Like I've said before, this GS hits the sweet spot and it's hard to let it go.

I leased my 2014 GS and it was also hard to let go when I returned it. Very good looking car inside and out. Keep enjoying it!

When I was considering trading my ES350 for a new car I was looking at a Camaro SS. It's a nice looking car with gobs of power but not a Lexus. My ES was great so I spent many a sleepless night thinking about it. I finally decided to scrap the SS and go with the GS350. I am glad I did. This car is so nice and I like the curves too.

I agree! The GS is just special. I don't plan on trading it in unless it's for another GS down the road. This is coming from someone who can't hold onto a car longer then 12-15 months. I get bored to easily.

If the GSF was actually a realistic/reasonable purchase for me, I would buy it and never think twice about the gas milage, haha (I'd try the competitors too, I guess I'm saying I would buy the GSF immediately in a world with no competitors). Just that initial cost is too much for me. But I do love my GS350 a lot, aside from some interior rattles.

For what it's worth re:gas milage, my 2003 BMW 540i w/4.4 L V8 probably got like 26-27 highway, 16-17 city, which is not that far off from the GSF, and I never regretted that for a second. Not to be critical though, IslandBeef, to each his own. I get it... kinda like if you can't utilize that power all the time, why waste the money on gassing up that beast of an engine.

My lease is up in August, and I'm nearly dead set on just getting another GS. I feel like I kinda peaked with this car; it's so good, in so many ways, that to move up is gonna cost another 20k. I wish the GSF price would drop substantially because I would really rather have one of those as a step up the ladder, but there is always the off-lease market in 24-36 months.

The more I drive this car, and other cars in this range, the more I realize how finely balanced everything is on it. Nothing is too much or too little, and that's what makes the decision so hard.

Being a Lexus, the off-lease market is so much appealing. The reliability factor is a safety net for advanced users of the brand, allowing them to get deep discounts while not worrying about the warranty lapsing.

I've purchased cars before the lease ended (so I can avoid the mileage overage fees). Then traded it in for the next lease.

No, there's nothing wrong with your car. It's fine... just like ours.

If the car that you plan on getting next is not a hot model, trading in your lease before term sometimes works out great. I got an estimate from Car Max to get an idea what my car was worth. I took it to the dealer. To my surprise, they offered more and also gave me a great deal on the car I was planning to get. But you may make some by buying and trading it back if your residual is low and your car value is high.
