Default Front left wheel making grinding noise

My 2015 Gs 350 F sport started making grinding noise from the front passanger side wheel. The noise comes from driving and not braking so im assuming its not the brake pads and its not squeaking noises as a worn out brake will sound. Anyone had this issue? Not planning on taking to dealer for this. If you guys know anyone in Socal that understands about stuff like please give me their contact info. Thanks

how many miles you have on it? it could be something hit ur backing plate and its hitting the rotor, so if you can take that side wheel off and just bend it back, its a thin sheet metal so you can do it with ur hand , or ur wheel bearing is gone, its hard to say.

Nearing 10k miles. I probably will just take it somewhere near by and have them take the wheel out and see whats going on

Never had that issue, just the occasional brake squeal. Maybe a rock caught between the caliper and pads ? Or stuck brake pistons? Try giving your brakes a good wash and see if it returns. If it's still there, maybe it's time to have the dealer check it, it looks like you're still under warranty.

I would imagine the warranty would cover this?

I'm with mrpartsman. I would have Lexus take a look at it. If it is a wear item they will tell you about it and give you the option to let them price gouge you with the repairs or you can easily do them yourself for much cheaper. Lexus quoted me $359 to change the front brake pads. I ordered them off Amazon for $57 and swapped them myself in 30 minutes.

Just took it to a local auto repair shop he took off the wheel and said your brake pads are done and he recommended me to change the front pads.

Thinking if I should go OEM pads or after market what you guys think?

I've had these for about a month and really like them. Great stopping power, no noise, and my wheels have a lot less brake dust buildup.

Agree with the recommendation of Akebono. Switched my rear pads and rotors recently, put in Akebono. No noticeable difference in braking for me. Rear pads didn't create much dust, so haven't seen much difference there, BUT my front pads create a ton of dust and whenever they run down I am definitely putting the Akebonos up there as well. Swapped OEM for Akebono on my old BMW and the dust difference was night and day!

As far as the grinding noise... I am not sure, but occasionally I get a grinding noise when I am turning very hard at very low speeds (like under 4mph). It happens when the wheel is turned pretty much as far as it will go in one direction. I've been wondering what that is, but I only hear it maybe once a week tops so I haven't worried too much about it.

Do you guys know which one is the OEM brake pads i need?
I am looking at the pads on this lexus website but it shows 2 types which I dont know the difference.

https://houseoflexus.com/parts/2015/Lexus/GS350/F%20Sport/index.cfm?siteid=218298

First option says f sport package 11/12 ... not sure what 11/12 stands for.

I'm not really sure what the "from 11/12" means?

Just doing a quick search on part number 0446530491, looks like the pads that will fit your 2015 GS 350 F Sport.

The other 2 options are for AWD and the standard RWD GS 350.
Hope this answers your question
