What is going on with that? The GS LCI was supposes to rock. Is this a prank?
"While truck sales across the industry were strong in March, sales of the full-size Toyota Tundra were down 19.5 percent to 10,002 units. Sales of the Sienna minivan were also down 13.6 percent to 11,996 units. Sales of the Lexus GS were also down 40.6 percent to 1,524 units. In a conference call, Toyota said sales were affected by the timing of Easter this year, as many dealerships were closed. A Toyota spokesman also told us the results could show a shift from cars to light truck, SUV, and crossover sales. “Our light truck sales were up, just not enough to counter the decline in passenger cars,” he said."

I'm not surprised at the reduced sales numbers. I think it may partially be the redesigned front end. I have yet to find anyone (except on this forum) who thinks the newly designed shark-mouthed grill is an improvement. I personally think it looks hideous and I would have a hard time "upgrading" to that model. I see them on the streets and cringe. I don't know what Lexus was thinking. I'm standing by for "inbound". I'm sure many of you think it's wonderful and that's fine. Everyone has their own opinion.

Lead Lap
I reached out to 5 (five) dealers in early March to get a "deal" on a GS. They ALL brushed me off and offered me $900/month leases for 36 months. Oh well, I guess. Sooner or later they'll start coming down from their high horse.
Hopefully these sales numbers burn them all. You know Lexus corporate is not happy.
Although maybe it is a inventory issue...in which case my rant is null and void.

Honestly, I didn't care for the GS grill on the '13s when it first came out but it grew on me and I now own a '14. I hated the original gaping mouth grill on the Audis when it arrived years ago and I now love them. I imagine the new grills on the GS, ES, IS, etc. will grow on me. I owned a '12 Acura TL before the GS. Many people hate the grill on that car. I liked it, compared to the original beak when it first came out. I also find BMW grills boring to say the least.

I agree completely. My wife and I recently traded our 2014 GS for a GX. While at the dealer I pointed at a new RX next to us and asked if she would be interested in it. She looked at the front of it and I can't repeat what she said leading up to "no". Fortunately the GX version is not as bad, and it's the only Lexus that does not have the "mouse", otherwise we would likely have bought an Audi Q7.
