Default Video output to nav screen in 2016 GS, has anyone figured this out?

In the infotainment manual it states that you can project ipod video to nav screen with a certain cable contraption that I can't find online. (see pic). Anyone successfully got video to work?

It's also likely that you have to have the vehicle in park with the emergency brake on, unless you have an override system installed.

Are you talking about that $200 dongle that plugs into the back of the stereo?

Also,
I wonder if this player can be used. It had the needed 3.5mm A/V out.

It's not just a dongle, but yes, you have to pull the stereo and put the harness behind it. Depending on which brand you choose, activating the override is just a series of volume ++-- ...or something similar to that.

You won't be able to watch videos while the car is moving without an override.

No, our 2015 GS supports it too.

I've been searching for this cable too. And yes, 2015 supports it too. If I remember correctly 15 manual is not as clear as the 16's. Regardless, I have not been able to find this cable.

That's for audio though. You need one extra connection.

Unless you have an older iPhone this will convert the old style 30 pin to lightning connector.
