Default Oil filter wrench

What oil filter wrench with part number is everyone using? I have done a few searches but everyone just mentions "SST" tools which come in a variety of sizes. I have also looked at another thread where someone mentions a "ABN 360" but the documentations says this is only good for the previous gen GS. Anyone have a part number of a wrench that they are actually using?

I would search O Reily auto parts and find one. I found one for my 14RX for $5.00. Prices are all over the place for filter wrench's. Toyota wanted $59.00 for my application. O Reily will have one thats reasonable.

Buy an SST tool for your model of Lexus directly from your local Lexus dealer.

Buying one from the dealer will cost a fortune. Aftermarket works just fine and is much cheaper. $60 for a wrench from the dealer is ridiculous!

I agree. Hence the reason for me to look at an aftermarket one. I was able to find one on eBay that said it would work with my wife's 13' GS350. I will report back with the part number and the one I purchased so other members can look for an alternative option if need be.

Have you verified that one has worked with our cars? I couldn't find any info on it.

Why not just buy one locally? Just look online at O Riely,Advanced Auto or Auto zone in your area the site will tell you if it's in stock in your area. Like I said mine was only $5 at O reily's around the corner from my house.

My local stores don't carry them. The staff didn't seem to know what I needed which didn't inspire confidence that I would be getting the correct tool. That is why it's nice to have part numbers of what tools actually work. Hopefully I can fix that in this thread when my tool arrives.

Yes, already used it on my car and it works great. Note you need a 15/16 or 24mm socket to go with it.

Solid build quality and doesn't deform and cause the housing to get stuck like the cheaper filter wrenches.

I'm shocked.
I purchased my SST tool from a local dealer 5 years ago for about $25!

I purchased from the Toyota dealer, I kept reading about either the tools would break or that they would round off the corners of the canister. Didn't want either and just went the safe route.

I just wanted to update this thread, but did end up making a "how to" oil change video on youtube for our cars. The video also contains the part number of the oil filter tool (SST) I used. Hopefully this comes in handy for some members.
