Default Found a solution to a annoying issue about our 4GS interior trim

Everytime I take my car car to get detailed i always end up losing one or two carpet trims in the door handle pockets and it gets annoying. Apparently the vacuum loves to eat these on a regular basis. I found a solution to this age old dilemma.

I found these glue dots that help glue these trim in place and will resist any industrial vacuum you can throw at it. I found these at Walgreens and at first I thought that these must be snake oil and wont work but I bought it anyways because they were very cheap. I am happy to say that these work as advertised. Here are some pictures of this product.

GLUE DOTS!

GLUE DOTS INSTALLED.

BEFORE (Eye Sore!)

AFTER (Much Better!)

LOL....wait, there are supposed to be carpet trims in there??? Did they come with them? I bought CPO and always wondered why I could see the screw in the door grabs.

Awesome! Finally someone that found a solution to this annoyance.

How much were these Glue Dots that you picked up? I might have to make a trip to Walgreens.

Why not just industrial velcro OR maybe a small square of 3M Dual Lock..how "permanent" are these dots?

I actually just use Blue Tack on mine and it holds up well to vacuuming.

This stuff is permanent isn't it? Not worried about having to replace things inside the door that would require access to the screw underneath?

I fill those gaps with peanuts and M&M's so when I give people a ride they have something to snack on.

LOL....anyone have a flatbed scanner and a front and rear filler they can pull out and set on with a sheet of 8.5x11 paper behind it. This shape can be cut out of any sort of material and set in there. I am thinking a peel and stick foam or felt etc. Something a little more black too as this seems gray in color.

Same here! I'm not only a big M&M's fan but a M&M's Racing fan as well.

I also went with this for my doors, should be here early next week.

Don't you know. M&M's melt in your mouth and not in your hands

Smart man. You going to freehand it or do you have the pattern? Would love even a photo of them to use
