Default Door chime

90% of the time when i get out the car i hear the door chime. Keys are in my pocket, the headlights are in auto. Am i missing something or it does that by design?

Low key fob battery warning perhaps? Just a guess. Nothing shows up on your dash?

I believe you will find that if you open the door 'before' turning Off the engine/ignition that the door chime will sound, and the chime will continue to sound (with or without the engine/ignition On) until you close the door. Try turning Off the engine/ignition before opening the door and see if the chime still sounds.

If u push the rubber button on the door jamb near the VIN sticker while it's chiming it will stop the chiming. When ur door is closed that rubber button is pushed in.

Yes, this is how my car functions. 95% of the time I turn the car off before opening the door, but at first the door chime threw me off for the 5% of the time when I didn't have the car off before opening the door.
