Press once on traction button to turn it off then press and hold the traction button again for 10 seconds and stability will also turn off, the stability icon will light up in the dash in addition to the trac off display.
Your doing it wrong. I drift my 4GS all the time in parking lots and at the track. All you have do is stay in the power band. The 4GS engines has very little torque at low rpms. You need to rev the nuts out of it to do a drift. Try doing this in manual shift mode this time and keep the RPMs in the power band while drifting. Hold gears to get great results. Know when to shift when more speed is needed in a drift. Try turning the wheel opposite of your drift then get on revs and quickly counter steer the other way (This is called weight transfer). If you do it right you smoke those tires and do a glorious drift too. Torque starts in our cars at above 3750 rpms.
Things you can do to help with drifting.
1. Take everything out of your trunk including spare tire and tire changing tools.
2. Increase tire pressure in the rear tires.
3. Cold tires are easier to drift. So find a spot near home or drift on a cold day.
I am not responsible for any damage to your person or vehicle. Do these at your own risk! And have fun.
