Default Best floor mats or liners?

So I'll be getting my GS sometime next week probably and will need some good floor mats or liners for it as I live in MN and will use it year round. Color is Starfire Pearl with Flaxen interior.

I could have gotten the Lexus OEM all weather mats for extra from the dealer but figured I'd look into alternatives like weather tech first. What do you guys use? Do you recommend going with liners or mats? Think I should do both rows?

Thanks!

Weather tech floor liners is what I would suggest. I would get them for both rows. Have had weather tech in all my cars. Easy to clean with just mild soap and water plus they actually hold everything within the liners.

Love my weathertechs - You're in Minnesota, so i assume you drive in snow. the only place i have to clean at the end of the winter is by the gas pedal, but everywhere else there is a nice lip that keeps the snow/slush/water in. I have the all weather mats and they have sat in the box since new. Picking up the weathertech cargo tray today as well.

I in CA use the Lexus OEM mats.

People love the Weather Tech as well as Husky if you want something real heavy duty

Let us know what you decide!

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm thinking I'll go with the Weather Tech liners. I know I wanted them on my current car(99 GS 300) but they only made mats for it. The mats have worked great but I like the idea with the lip of the liners protecting the sides.

I have the same color combo (white/flaxen). The flaxen is obviously more challenging to keep clean so it'll probably be good to go with the Weathertech. I personally have the OEM All Weather mats (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-GS350-...-/131127929036) and they are good enough for me here in NYC.

The weather tec liners are pretty pricey but I have experience with them and they work well.

Interesting...those look luxurious and nice but I feel they wouldn't be a good match for winter/snow here in MN, despite being waterproof. Anyone here used them?

Regarding the weather Tech liners, unless I'm looking at their page wrong it says the only color they have for the liners is black. Will this look weird with the Flaxen interior? Kind of wish they had tan...

To save money and my matts, I go to Wal-Mart and purchase the rubber all weather mats and place them on top of the OEM mats. I've done this for all my cars. I also keep the rubber matts cleaned and maintained so they last a long time. Nobody ever questioned why I have two matts but always receive compliments.
Lower price and not quality I always say.
I almost purchased the GS-350 all WX matts but I could not justify the $80-120 for white letters when I can easily spend much less at the local car parts store/Wal-Mart .

I have the WeatherTechs and they have been very good. True, they are pricy. But if you plan to own the car for a long time I would look past the price if you like the mats. It is a worthwhile investment if you are going to own the car long term. The only thing I think could be improved on these mats is that they should extend higher in the front (under the dashboard). I know I am going to have to clean the dead pedal area and maybe behind the gas and brake pedals when I remove them in the spring. Might have to clean the same area in the passenger footwell too.
