Default Canadian model vs US

I'm just curious on this. With a Canadian 2013 GS 350, is one able to change the dash cluster, navigation screen, and temperature units underneath the clock in the middle, to Miles and Farenheit as opposed to metric units?

I'm assuming yes on the navigation/ 12.3" screen as it's an LCD/computer, but what about the dash and temp display?

Only reason I'm curious is someone on another forum said you can save money by importing a car from Canada due to the exchange rate but if these items can't be changed by myself or a dealer I wouldn't really consider it.

I found something in the manual about changing units but it only mentions km and miles, no temp, not sure which part of the car it's talking about either (gauges or screen).

I haven't seen the speedo on the Canadian models but that might be your biggest problem. Otherwise the rest is digital and should be programmable using the carista app I believe.

The speedo show KM/H in large numbers, MPH in small numbers (the exact opposite of what you have now) so that should be fine.

I've never tried changing units so i don't know, i've only changed the MPG read-outs.

I don't think it would be easy to import Canadian car... yes you win with exchange rate but I believe you still obligated to pay import tax which don't make any difference in price. Also, smog specs in US might be different to Canada.

I will assure you that our smog regulations are exactly the same at the US.

The only major difference, is that we are required to have DRL's that are always on, unless your headlights are on. Typically the only difference between US and CAD cars, is the CAD cars almost always come with the cold weather package, and AWD.
