I have a 2015 GS, but a neighbor is selling a 2004 GS300 with 68k miles and is in great condition for about 7k.

Would you consider it?

Thanks and move this if you have to

If you need a car for anyone in the family or friends... in worse case I would just buy it to have a spare vehicle only if you confident that it's in perfect condition...

That 2nd GS is a great car - build quality on those are excellent...If you have the money/space and need, that's a deal!

Great deal, I'd get it as a beater for going to sketchy parts of the city. As a bonus, it's got the bullet proof 2jz motor.

Thanks, everyone. Yeah, 2nd Gen.. oops! It seems like a sweet deal, I've always liked those model years. The GS 430 is a hell of a car too. Anything I should watch out for in your opinion? Should I be concerned with anyone considering that it has such low miles. I'd use it as a daily.. save some miles on my GS. Wonder if it'd last.

Thanks again, this forum is awesome!

Ball joints from what i can remember, even if it has low average miles, it still a 12 year old part that has failed very often for the 2GS guys. Standard fluids and belt replacemetns are a must as well if they haven't been replaced.

ball joints and all bushings, door actuators. those are common problems on the 2gs. the car rides good coz' the bushings are so soft, but problem is over years they wear out pretty bad

the 2gs is a very nice car, my fav gs of all still. for its time it was way ahead of others. but the gs300 is very slow though, it's a great commuter but i personally doesn't get much thrill driving it
