Default Honest opinion on these 18" wheels

Been looking for a set of 18" wheels for my GS Fsport AWD as beaters for the harsh Canadian winter. Randomly came upon an intriguing option and wanted your honest opinion on these wheels.

This is not my car, I simply 'shopped(actually used MS Paint) the wheels onto a GS350 photo I found online to see what it'd look like.

Hint: These are stock wheels from another car, but you'd never guess what it came from

More info: The bolt pattern and offset are a perfect match. Center bore will need hub rings as Lexus is 60.1mm(one of the smallest), but that's OK.

I gave it a yes, but it was really an "okay". Hey, for winter beaters they aren't bad and still fit the design of the car.

Thanks. Being winter beater wheels(especially bad here in Canada with the road salt), and just 18's, it's definitely not winning any contests.

More than anything, it's about saving my stock 19" F-sport wheels, while retaining a "stock"-ish look. Unfortunately I can't find any good used OEM Lexus wheels in my area.

I can get these for a great price though, although I may be banished from this forum if I dare tell which car they came from.

They look good and would be perfectly fine for beater wheels...Remind me a lot of the Lexus ISP Mode wheels that are popular on the 2nd generation IS250-350 models from 2006-2010 (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...022800x600.jpg)

They do also remind me of a BMW style 15-spoke wheel from the 5-Series sedan as well...

Some stock GS wheels for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-GS350-...-/311536084375

I don't mind those, but shipping from the states and with the CAD plummeting by the day, those end up being prohibitively expensive to us poor Canadians...

And nice try, but definitely not Lexus nor BMW wheels

There are many choices at that price range. For comparison, let's just say I can get this set(used but 9/10 condition) for half the price of ONE of those rims. I also believe that OEM wheels tend to be stronger than lower end aftermarket wheels which will be useful against winter potholes.

Those Enkei GTC01's are high quality racing wheels.
They are lighter, yet stronger than OEM wheels; they are actually about 2/3 the weight of OEM wheels of the same size!
They also have a special coating inside the rim to reduce tire slippage, and they feature two valves per wheel, for more accurate tire inflation.

The lighter the alloy wheels, the more quickly a car can accelerate [because it can spin the wheels more readily], the more quickly it can brake [because the wheel masses can be stopped more easily], and the more comfortably it can ride, because less momentum is thrown against the car after impacting bumps.
Thus, typical Formula 1 wheels are less than half the weight of these Enkei wheels again...

Was never a fan of the stock non-f sport rims, but if they're just beater rims for the winter, then they will work fine
