Okay the Lexus dealership suggested keeping it overnight since it had 3 recalls on it.

The drive also taught me that there is a rattle coming from the dashboard area near the passenger seat (of course I removed everything from the glove compartment) - anyone ever encounter anything similar?

I really hope they can fix it; I have an ES loaner and it made me realize how much fun the GS is to drive.

My 2013 F Sport is a rattlebox. I too have had a rattle coming from the dashboard near the navigation screen. I also had rattles from my sunroof, center console, left rear passenger window etc. My car has more rattles than my 2006 4runner.

the word is that the 2015 model addresses the noise issues. Good luck with your car. The dashboard issue was mostly resolved by the dealer.

Well I made the purchase and I absolutely love the car.

TheGagLine, the tech found a loose bolt in the dash that was the source of the noise so I got lucky.

Awesome. I am sure you will enjoy. I purchased my car from a used car dealer and no regrets after owning it for a year. Only thing wrong with it was amount of tread on the tires were mismatched when I bought it, presumably due to a puncture, so I got them to knock a little off the price. Everything else has been great so far. I am sure you will have the same experience.
