I'm not sure why anyone would want their foot wells lit so brightly. You don't need any light at all to see where your feet go. Even in the cleanest of cars the floor mats are going to be the dirtiest part of the car's interior. Maybe you want to show off the aluminum pedals? Is that it?
Half of my drive is during dark and I find it comforting to have dim lights throughout the car. Note how all the luxury cars (except Japs) give a great deal of importance to the cabin ambient lighting: multiple colors, adjustable intensity, etc. So it seems there are a lot of ppl out there that agree with me. You don't have to.
I don't have alum pedals and I don't need to show off anything. A clue for you should have been that the lights are INSIDE the car.
Interesting you managed to have it adjusted by the ECU, I'd be interested in this as well. Your interior looks similar to my '14 LS Thanks for sharing. Many people will have varying options and that's the beauty, we each get to personalize our vehicles as we see fit. I have that accent lighting on both sides of my dash so I doubt I'd be changing my color from white but having it more intense at park is a thought.

That's actually a setting from factory. The ambient lights in the cabin are more intense in park and when the trans is shifted into drive they dim.
Guess I never noticed the big difference with my white light on black interior. Thought he was able to make his brighter. Shucks.
The dim / full bright setting is controlled by the computer, depending if the car is in drive or park. What I did is replacing the oem LED which is super dim with an aftermarket.
