Default tint question

Hey guys..

I'm thinking about tinting the front windows of the f sport. I was wondering what film you guys and gals went with.

My rear is tinted but I wanted something darker..

Also, one more question. My car is coming to almost 25k miles and what service is recommended? What oil would you guys recommend? Mobil? Castrol? OEM? Amsoil? or ?

thanks.

I went 70% with 5% visor ceramic. It's too light for my taste, my wife's is at 50% and that's perfect.

As far as tint, I went with Formula One Pinnacle Tint and am very pleased overall.

If you're changing oil with the dealership, it should be enough to use the standard Toyota/Lexus oil. Personally, I've always used Mobil 1 Synthetic for all my oil changes.

Below are the Lexus Recommended Service items for 25k miles.
Inspect and adjust all fluid levels
Reset maintenance reminder light
Rotate tires
Visually inspect brake pads, calipers and rotors
Check installation of driver’s floor mat
Road-test vehicle

Suntek Carbon on my GS. Have limo on rear doors and rear window and went with 25% up front. I still feel 25% is too light on the front doors. If I can I might redo it again and go for 15%.

I went with 20% 3M ceramic and 70% crystalline up front. People can barely see into the car during the day and they definitely cant see in at night time. Crystalline film provides the best heat rejection.

Here is a pic of it when i took it to the mountains this weekend

has it affected your guys' rear view mirror function? All the cars I had tinted, it lessened the function of it and it never dimmed the same again.

How do you like it? any peeling issues? What was the total cost of it?

How's the view from the inside? How's the front? What was your total cost of it?

How's your suntek working out?

How's the ceramic and crystalline? I saw the crystalline at one of the local shops and it looks like there wasn't anything in the front.. and the heat rejects was pretty damn amazing on it. Any radio issues with the ceramic tint?

I paid 500 for all of mine. I have had no issues with peeling, rear view mirror dimmer, or radio/cellphone connection issues. I even have a radar detector and there are no issues there either.

I went with crystalline because I live in the south and heat rejection was important to me.

Do you just want dark windows with minimal heat rejection or do you want heat rejection and don't care about how dark it is? The color of your interior will also impact how dark it looks. Also, keep in mind that our windows are tinted coming off the line. So tinting 20% will register around 17%

I went with 35% all around. Total cost was $300 for front/rear passenger windows and rear glass at "The Art of Tint" - highly recommended if you're in the NYC area (http://www.theartoftint.com/).
