wow wtf?.. did she get confused with how to turn it on? Looks like either she hit it really hard with something.. (You'd have to hit it pretty damn hard to get it stuck in there) or she thought that in order to turn on the radio.. she had to push the button instead of turning it and she got frustrated and slammed on it..
Either way i'd be really pissed off too.. she isn't telling you the truth -__-. That can't happen by accident.. period.

Like Prinny said try to remove it to see whats holding it up, but take this word of advice. DO NOT try to do this without !
You'll end up scratching or gouging your dash and then youre going to want to do things to your wife that you should not be doing

I believe plastic mechanism inside is broken, it's a metal case all around when i pulled my stereo unit out... Hope anyone has any suggestions or know what to do...
I have one unit sitting in my garage with same issue, power **** is pushed all the way inside, I'll take a look tonight...

Did she have a long heavy object which wouldn't fit across the car thus had to use the trunk pass thru? When she stopped hard it flew forward and hit the **** on the head.
Similar happened to me, a week after getting the car. I was carrying an 8 foot organizer rail and stop short, slide forward and dinged the silver plastic around the radio. Barely noticeable but taught me for the future.
Have her rub your ****, maybe that will help it pop out!!!
