the other day i was driving with no music on my GS and i noticed every time i came to a complete stop, the brakes would produce a weird loud knock sound. it was rainning so i thought it would be from that... but then after driving it roughly 5-7miles the sound stopped... then since i noticed it, i hoped on my corolla to see if it had the same thing but no... only on my GS.. is this normal?

This is a known issue on 2013 & 2014 GS 350's. It is a brake adjustment, I cannot recall specifically, but it is free if your car is umder warranty. The tech at the dealership explained exactly what I was hearing, only by simply hearing me say "I have a weird noise coming from the rear of my car as I hit small bumps in the road" It occurred for me when I was driving 5-10mph down a road w/ the radio off and windows up or down.

They have to take apart the brakes, so get a loaner if possible, but its completely free and a known issue at Lexus dealerships.

Same thing seems to be happening to mine, and I have a brand new '15 F-sport.

Same here. Doesn't always happen, but the knocking noise occurs especially when I ease into the brakes.
