Town fair damaged all four of my wheels.

So I needed new tires for summer and i grabbed some from town fair. I second guessed myself and said I should bring tires to my shop but decided price difference made no sense. So now all four edges are gouged where they tried to fit the rim onto the tire. I don't know what to do I know they will not pay for the rims as that will be around $2800. They offered a check for $200 but I don't want that. Can you give me a suggestion as to what I should try to get.
& this is why you should have had the work done @ Pro-Spec clearly now the price difference matters....
Call Brian & ask him what to do, im sure he'll get you out of this jam as he has done in the past!!!

I'd like to see pics. I really don't believe they can't be fixed. There are some repair guys who wok out of their car who may not be able to fix them, but their are shops that can fix edges. I've had repairs on edge damage.
I'm always amazed at the people who say get a lawyer. You'll pay an attorney more than the four wheels would cost to buy brand new. Keep working them for a while. If your case is solid they will pay.

Totally agree. My neighbor's wife totally "f#@ked up" the edges of the rims on his 911. The Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA made them look like brand new. Take a couple pics and send them to WCC or a place like that and they will tell you if they can be fixed. I'm guessing somewhere in Mass. does this work. You might need a shop that does full wheel repair. The local guys can do some amazing things on cosmetic damage, but a true specialist can weld, reshape, powder coat—everything. They're basically a wheel manufacturer and it's not super expensive. I had some bubbling and oxidation on my winter rims and paid $75 per wheel to get them looking like brand new—and that included putting one back into perfect round (New York potholes!).
Yes I did word it that way when I went to see him, I brought the receipt of the cost it would take to get the wheels new and also price to powder coat the wheels over.

Yea I know man to be honest I questioned it before I went through with it. When I finally said yes I left and felt I regretted what I decided. Trust me Brain has been giving me an ear full on this subject. I told him already he got me the cost of powder coating. I'm just waiting on Town Fair now.

So they called me back today, they won't pay for the tires they will only reimburse me $500, at this point I don't know what to do. Hiring a lawyer won't be the best route as I don't see me making what I paid in the end for the rims. I don't know what to ask for now.

This may be one of those times you end up paying for somebody else's mistake. If you are ticked off enough and want to invest the time...Stand on the sidewalk in front of their store with a picket line sign saying they damaged your rims! Show up with a chair and a cooler full of supplies and tell um do the math. Which is going to be cheaper, paying for my rims, or me chasing off your customers.

I wouldnt take the L with this. Its understood that 5K is a large amount of money for a business to take a hit like this but imo they were so extremely negligent that they need to be taught a lesson. For example, I could understand if they scratched up one wheel but all 4!? Once the first one was scratched why did they put the other 3 through the machine? So that they could all match?
Went through a similar situation where the guy warned me by phone that when installing the wheel back on the car that the rim could get scratched, so I told him no way please dont go through with it. Drove to the shop and what do you know? The rim had already been damaged! I went in on dude for lying to to me and demanded he fix the wheel. I explained to them that the rim was plastidipped and that all he needed to do was fix the gouge and repaint the rim back to factory color but what did the wheel guy do? He painted the rim with shiny black paint (plastidip is matte black). In the end he fixed it but the manager threw in a little shot and complained that i was "picky". So yea mistakes happen but ****** people who try to get away with not fixing what they clearly broke.
