Town fair damaged all four of my wheels.
So I needed new tires for summer and i grabbed some from town fair. I second guessed myself and said I should bring tires to my shop but decided price difference made no sense. So now all four edges are gouged where they tried to fit the rim onto the tire. I don't know what to do I know they will not pay for the rims as that will be around $2800. They offered a check for $200 but I don't want that. Can you give me a suggestion as to what I should try to get.

Not sure I understand a few things, but the main one is why are they offering you $200? They can be repaired to like new condition and I'm sure Boston has shops that do it. Do your homework on repairs and send Town Fair the estimate. Your Lexus dealer can help as well. All dealers use wheel repair guys.

I'll bet anything they can be fixed. I've seen repair shops do amazing things with wheels, for about $130 retail. I had a repair to a polished and clear coated wheel on a CTS Cadillac. I would have sworn they bought me a new one.

Talk to a good lawyer. Sounds like they have already admitted fault by offering you $200. Now you're just arguing about how much it will cost to fix the damage. You should be entitled to a decent settlement plus lawyer fees.

Don't contact a lawyer. This is a small claims matter.
Get numbers of your cost to make you whole. Go and talk to the owner. If he doesn't want to talk, send them a demand letter. Wait a few days and then file a small claims suit.

Last time I took my old Camry to Firestone the tech dropped 1 wheel on its face and I was standing right in front of it. They tried to offer me to fix it but instead I ordered a new wheel and showed them the receipt and they paid me $260 right away and I never went back there ever since. It was an aftermarket wheel, if it's OEM it'll cost them $500 a piece!

I'm always amazed at the people who say get a lawyer. You'll pay an attorney more than the four wheels would cost to buy brand new. Keep working them for a while. If your case is solid they will pay.

Totally agree. My neighbor's wife totally "f#@ked up" the edges of the rims on his 911. The Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA made them look like brand new. Take a couple pics and send them to WCC or a place like that and they will tell you if they can be fixed. I'm guessing somewhere in Mass. does this work. You might need a shop that does full wheel repair. The local guys can do some amazing things on cosmetic damage, but a true specialist can weld, reshape, powder coat—everything. They're basically a wheel manufacturer and it's not super expensive. I had some bubbling and oxidation on my winter rims and paid $75 per wheel to get them looking like brand new—and that included putting one back into perfect round (New York potholes!).

If this is satisfactory to you it seems like a reasonable first demand. Although I wouldn't word it as reimbursement of tire cost plus alignment. Word it to reflect reimbursement for repair to wheel or replacement cost of wheel.

This brings back bad memories. Same thing happened to my 350z when I took my brand new wheels to Firestone to have tires installed. They gouged one of the polished lips and totally screwed it up. I found a place to perform the repairs and sent them the bill. I've learned my lesson and now I ALWAYS ask about the type of equipment a shop uses to install tires.
I'm a bit surprised they cant repair your wheels. I've seen some extensively damaged rims that were repaired to look like new.
