Good luck pulling all those old stinky shoes out of your trunk!

I only keep my tool bag and detailing kit in my trunk. It's very neat clean.

I think only the 2013's are not fully lined. From 2014 onward all the GS trunks are fully lined.

I stuck on LED light strip on my car with carpet just use velcro!

Also carpet trim would help make your car that much quieter.

The carpet adds a little class and should be included at this price range. If a Hyundai has it so should Lexus.

I'll have to recheck my trunk then. I don't recall seeing it all lined with carpet.

Can one of you guys who have a bare metal trunk take a picture of it? Just for comparison purposes. I thought ALL GS models would have the carpet lining on the top. That's really surprising.

I own a 13' hybrid and it looks exactly like ItzFilyO's pictures (including the trunk bag hook; which comes into use a lot when picking up groceries.. especially useful for things like eggs/bread/etc that you don't want crushed or flying around all over the trunk).

Alright, I climbed inside my trunk and check every corner and there is not a single metal piece in there, it's all covered. It's really a nice place to be in, especially when I put double carpeting on the bottom, nice and plush.

Yeah I thought that was what it's used for too but wonder under which circumstances? Maybe for someone trying to hide inside the trunk? Lol
I can't seem to dare to pull on that to close the trunk. Plus why needed when the closing is powered?

My bad. Inside looks just like yours except I can't crawl in to take the picture. There is also an opening which looks like it's for the sub/speaker. Mine is non ML.

It might have something to do with options/packages. I can't be sure but it would have caught my eyes if it was not covered. I had a 13 luxury.

Here ya go...

The horizontal carpet trim (top inside of trunk) stops just beyond (forward of) the trunk light, and the vertical carpet trim on the back wall (where the pass-thru door is located) stops at the top. The part of the trunk's inside roof where there is no carpet trim is just the far back 15" where the trunk lid's torsion bars and rear speaker are located.

I think 1111GS may be correct - it may be option specific in the 2013. Or possibly they just started including it in later builds.

Anyway, yet another interesting thing Lexus did. Thanks again for sharing.

Yeah, I'm an Itsy-Bitsy-Teenie-Weenie bit faster without that carpet trim...except for all the golf stuff I carry around in my trunk all the time.

When I had my 2013, I noticed the trunk wasn't fully carpeted when I tried to load some large luggage pieces in my trunk and they kept getting caught on the screws. They also changed the trunk arms to be covered on the newer models.

That's right, the arms are also covered now.
