Smile New to Lexus - Buying GS350

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and looking to purchase my 1st lexus GS 350 2013. I looked at 2 different GS350. Specs are listed below. I'm not sure which one to get and also wanted to know if this is a good price or not.

2013 GS350 AWD, Premium pkg, Cold Weather PKg, Blind Spot, 25k. From lexus dealer but not certified. Selling Price $30990. THey can certified the car for another $2500. Clean carfax. Exterior is Silver with light grey interior.

I also looked at 2013 GS350 Fsport.
This is from a non lexus dealer and it has around $26k. Selling price $33k.
Silver exterior and brown interior.

Is it a big difference in an F Sport? Is it worth getting F Sport and spend another $2800 or more?

Thanks for your input guys.

I would say it depends on what you want in the car. For me the GSH works great. Plenty of acceleration, comfort and quality. I don't think there is too much difference than the non-Fsport. The added benefits of the Fsport are not things that I would use such as better handling and track performance. I like the interior of the non Fsport better, don't like the aluminum trim but that is just my preference. I have the LP exterior with grey interior. Love it. As for CPO or non-CPO, check when the car was first sold since some of the 2013's were sold in mid 2012. I don't think you can go wrong with either car.

i started looking at CPO '13's before opting for a '15? Thise prices seem very good. Certified here in New England were from $35k+ and miles were from teens to mid 20's. These were all AWD cars.

I wouldn't bother with the certification, you can always buy an extended warranty a month before the factory runs out for cheaper than that. Read this for the sources:https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...nty-found.html

I agree with Tom450, the interior of the F's is too metallic for me and the benefits for going with an F car are only rear wheel steering and cosmetics. All GS350's use the same motor and if you find a Luxury package it also has the same suspension as the F package.

The F-Sport is essentially an appearance package as the other posters mentioned the Luxury Package has the same Sport + Suspension/Mode option. However, in the used '13 GS marketplace, getting an F-sport or Luxury package GS is often seen as a good value.

I ended up with a certified premium '13 GS350 (non-Lux, non-f sport version). It was well equipped with the features I cared most about - Remote Start/BSM/Cold Weather Pkg/AWD.

I think If you can get that first GS you mentioned for under $30k, its a great deal for a low mileage GS. Can't go wrong with any version of the GS - it may be the best car overall in the category. Also, check to see if either car you're considering has any time left on the original 4yr/50k warranty. If it is a later build from 2013 or wasn't registered until 2013, it may still have up to 2 years left on the original warranty making the certification not worth the extra cost.
