Default Great deal on demo GS

My dealer, Balise in Springfield MA has 2 '15 GS, one Atomin Silver and a demo Nebular with 6,000 miles. I drove the demo yesterday, it is quiet and smooth and heavily discounted. If you call ask for Noah, he is the salesmanager I worked with and i recommend him highly.

Hoog luck

My GS should be ready to go on Thursday.

6000 miles is a used car to me.

I personally wouldn't buy a demo. I'd rather have a one owner car that I know wasn't beat on and tested to its limits the first x amount of miles before it was sold.

depends on what the demo car was used for. typically they are driven by the GM or SM and have dealer plates.

personally I have purchased 4 demo cars over the past 10 years, all were SM or GM driven untitled cars.

as an untitled vehicle the warranty doesn't take affect until it is titled, if the car has 6,000 miles the 4/50K warranty starts @ 6,000 and goes to 56,000, it goes into affect on the date the car was first titled.

the advantage to a demo car is they are usually highly discounted, and you don't take the initial depreciation hit.

I came very close to buying this one but i like the Atomic Silver better. This car drives great, is quiet (no wind noise, controlled road noise), the seats are treat but it is a GS. Since it was a manager car i had no issue with this one.

Since it was driven by one person like the GM or SM then I wouldn't mind buying it if the price was right. If it was a test drive type demo vehicle then no way would I ever consider. Idk if there is a different term used for test drive vehicles in different states but when I hear demo, to me it usually means it was used for test drives.

What do they call the ones they use for loaner vehicles in the service department? Those are treated about as bad as a rental car. Are those titled? Those typically have 15-20K miles when they try to sell them to the public.

Some dealers around here will call them one owner vehicles when they retire them and put them on the used car lot. But when you pull up the carfax some say rental and some say lease. I guess it depends on the dealership. All the ones I've seen are usually titled. I would seriously avoid the loaner cars. I don't care if they are cerified and come with a 3/100k mile warranty. Some of the loaners I've been given are badly abused. Huge cracks on the windshield, door dings everywhere, scraped bumpers, curbed wheels etc... Over all in horrible condition. Then there are some that are as clean as can be with close to 15k and barely any damage.

federal law requires dealerships to disclose a rental or loaner vehicle as a rental or loaner when they sell it, typically the standard warranties are void if a vehicle is used for any type of service Ambulance, Taxi, Rental, etc.

failure to disclose the vehicle as a previous rental or service vehicle is a criminal act in California and many other states.
