I'd prefer the Q50 Sport over the M37 to be honest.. The styling is a lot nicer.

I've been pretty fond of Infiniti. Drove a G35 for around 5-6 years before switching back over to Lexus. Lexus definitely more reliable, but not by a HUGE margin. Drove the M37 a while back, but didn't enjoy it all that much. The Q50 Sport on the other hand was pretty fun. It definitely depends on what you're looking for. Road noise has always been a big issue for Infiniti. Hated my G35 for that, but I love my GS for that.. much tranquil. The double panned windows keeps it better insulated from sound and the weather too.

I'd pick the GS over the M37. You'll enjoy it more in the long run.

I've had both cars... I leased a 2013 M37 Sport and it got totaled after 8 months of having it a women turned infront of me on a red and I t-boned her doing 40 mph. I had just installed Tanabe springs on it and Stillen axle back exhaust and only got to enjoy that for a month So after insurance paid off the M37 I decided to purchase my 2013 GS that only had 14k miles. There are pros and cons to both vehicles but I believe the Lexus is a better overall car. It's much more quiet and smooth and the build quality is much nicer. The M37 had terrible road noise and was quite harsh on rough roads. As far as performance I think the Infiniti had a little more low end torque off the line but the GS is just as capable and feels quicker in the long run. I also think the Lexus customer service in general from the buying experience to servicing at the dealer is a better experience.

In the end I am happy with the Lexus and IMO it's just an overall better built and more solid car than the M37.

Lmfao, this made my day!

I love Infiniti cars although I've never owned one. Good luck with your choice but it seems like you have aready made up your mind for the GS.
Post results either way!

The GS just looks way better than any Infiniti out there! This car will look good for a long time.

Default some thoughts for you

good luck with your new search,
couple of things to think about
Infiniti vs lexus with customer service night and day win for lexus
rotor and brake issues huge lexus favor infiniti has issue with rotors warping
motors, both aging v6, to me i wouldn't buy a 13 of either one due to gas mileage, i was looking for a gs and decided i don't want 20 mpg any longer when i got rid of my ls430,
the v6 in the lexus is smoother and more refined and as fyi if you get a used gs for efficiency i would get a 14 it has a 8 speed auto vs the 6 speed,

ride, the m37 and the gs ride good, and probably the m will ride a drop smoother for cruising.
the handling is an overwhelming win for the gs if thats your think the rear suspension of the is and gs both on the same platform are brilliant and best in class.

the ability of the mode selecting in the gs is much better tuned than the infiniti and if you want to cruise leave the gs in normal if you go to sport or sport plus the car changes dynamically and fun to drive much different than the m37

resale value much better for lexus and a if you buy a cpo you won't get hurt that bad long term. so your 6 to 7 k savings will be less over the lifetime with car with depreciation.

build quality large in favor of lexus.

front seat comfort a tie... heard good things about m37 front seat for comfort and the lexus is great.

nav/technology, both similar they are behind the germans in technology and functionality.

my 2 cents, lease a 2016 lexus gs200t, if you don't do high mileage and you can afford it.
also you will save 20% in gas from the two cars that you mentioned.

good luck

and forgot would consider a 2014 bmw 528 cpo, you can land one for similar to a 13 gs and you will get maintanence till 50k and 100k warranty 26 mpg combined, and a safe great car..
i don't want to get in debate one vs other but i went the route i did and am very happy it has exceeded my expectations

This! Absolutely nailed it.

If you drive 15000 miles per year and gas is $3.00/gal, the annual fuel expense between 26mpg and 20mpg is $500.
