I cant imagine how much glare those would produce. Does it bother you if you stand in front of the car with them on ? our fogs are a simple housing without even a projector, just a housing. I guess if you leave them off most of the time, that is fine. I leave my fogs on all the time.

In case you're not aware of, your head lights can be adjusted as well. If you need more light you may want to try to adjust the head lights to see if it helps. I remember reading some posts about adjusting the non luxury lights to have them point higher a bit. If that still doesn't give you enough light, yes you may need to go with hid fogs. I agree the oem, led and new leds are more less for look. I had the vleds before. Although they look really nice, they only gave an bit extra light in the front. My head lights were auto adaptive so I didn't really look into stronger fogs. Piaa also makes some really strong driving lights if you're interested.

@EyeKutr - Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you're interested in trying out the Philips H11 LED bulbs. They will produce as much light as stock, replicate the OE pattern, and have a way better color:
They are also available in 2700k:

I'm looking at installing an HID kit for my fog lights. I sometimes feel that I have a hard time seeing as my lights are factory adjusted lower then I would like. I have HID fogs on the RX and man are they bright. Lights up the road nicely. Plus I have had them for over two years and no issues. I'm looking at getting another 35 watt morimoto HID kit.
