Looking at Buying a GS350
I just joined the forum a couple of minutes ago. I have been looking at getting a GS350 for a couple of months now because the car I drive now its not great in the winter and 2 doors. I found this GS350 and was wondering what everyone thought about it. It looks like a clean car and they had it since 07/30/2015 according to the carfax so I think I could negotiate them down a bit.
Some other cars I am considering are:
BMW 535 xdrive
MBenz E350 4matic
Audi A6 3.0T
I need 4 doors and AWD and my budget is below $35k.

Welcome to the forum! In the crowded midsize luxury sedan market, the 2013+ GS may be the best of the bunch considering overall design, comfort, performance and value. Reliability without question puts the GS above the other vehicles you are considering.
The interior of the GS may also be the most attractive of all those cars within your budget that are 2-3yrs old.
Members on this forum (myself included) will tend to be partial to the brand, but truthfully our cars tend to spend the least amount of time in the shop. A family member recently purchased a certified BMW and has had the car back to the dealership 5 times since purchase for repairs.
If you can negotiate down, I would go for it. My car looks very similar

Run an AutoCheck vehicle history report on the vehicle - a few bucks for peace of mind when buying a used vehicle. Carfax won't show the entire vehicle history through auctions, insurance and such. Also, run the VIN through the Lexus owners site for service records.

Looks the same as mine (plus the spoiler) i say, go for it!
It handles great. Power is adequate to have fun (especially in sport mode, throttle and tranny response are sharp) lighting is good, interior is great, screen is cool, heated/ventilated seats are nice... and if it has the heated steering wheel you will be very happy in the winter.

I got my GS350 (2013, AWD, Lux package) after coming from a 2001 Honda Accord and 2003 BMW 540. Would have kept driving the Honda but it had too many issues that needed to be fixed and I didn't want to put in the money (car was 15 years old).
The BMW was another story. BMW scared me away with the ridiculous repair costs and the high frequency of repairs. I think I had my car at my mechanic once a month for something or other. Some issues were minor but I wanted it to be perfect... now I just wish that I had cut and run sooner, haha! The BMW did handle better and even though there was less power it felt faster, but I have heard the current 5 series leaves a lot to be desired in those categories. I do like the design, though. All in all, I love the Lexus, really can't beat Japanese reliability in my experience. Unless BMW has really changed, or if the other German brands are more reliable than BMW, I'd stay away. If you are cool with shelling out tons of money for repairs, I guess, then you could go for it.
But the GS is a really nice car with a pretty solid amount of power and decent handling (some on here say handling beats BMW 5 series). I think it's a good choice.
