I have not posted for a very long time but have always monitored this forum as I love the Lexus brand and the great information on Club Lexus. I have been trying to research the site to see if I could find the answer but have not had luck. I am buying a 2013 GS350 AWD Technology Plus Pkg and will be trading in my 2004 GS430 and would like to take my I Forged wheels and put them on the new GS. I have been in contact with my Lexus Dealer in Canada, Goodyear Dealer, and I Forged direct and have gotten my answer I believe but as always would love to have the input of the so many knowledgeable members on this site. Will my wheels work or not (nobody said they would for sure but they "believe they should")
I have the I Forged Classic wheels staggered
Front 19" diameter, 8.5" width, inner width 7", outer width 1.5" and offset +36 wrapped in Goodyear Eagles 245/40
Back 19" diameter, 10" width, inner width 7", outer width 3" and offset +42 wrapped in Goodyear Eagles 275/35
I was told as long as the overall "rolling" diameter is within 1/2" it will be no problem. The front works out to 26.7" and back 26.6" compared to the stock of 26.3".
Based on this info I would love your feedback, I don't want to take a chance and cause problems for the AWD.
BTW, I bought the new NX 200t and absolutely love it (if you are reading, thanks for the great write ups Corrado).
I would do 285/30 in back. Slightly closer in height to the front. Not a huge difference but it's just to be on the safe side.
I've learned that to keep the height exactly the same front and back, you have to go 4 increments up in width in the rear. For example, if you had a 255/30 in front, you'd want a 295/25 in back.

So I just want to be clear, you are suggesting I swap out the back tires to the 285/30 size and that would be closer to spec and still work with the size of my current wheels? I am sorry if I am asking a silly question but I really don't have a good grasp with how the wheel/tire sizes work together.

If you can, yes I'd swap them. But if you're gonna be stuck with the old tires, it might not be worth it. The difference is only millimeters.

I will get them mounted with the current tires and see how everything fits but I would swap out the tires if it made that difference (I have had them for a long time anyway. But the car was not driven that much during that time as it was not winter driven so there is not that many miles on them
Since I did not get any interest in selling my wheels, I decided to try them on the car before I put on the snow set. I am getting the F-Sport 19" wheels shortly but I thought I would share a pic. I currently have the 18" OEM wheels that came with the car as well. I did not think that I would do much to this car but now the mod bug is biting again. I was worried about lowering this car because of the AWD system but it looks as though the Tanabes should be ok based on everything I read on this forum. The pictures show the car begging for a "conservative" drop" 😉 Just ordered LED fogs but won't do anything else until spring.
