Default Painted Calipers: Red or Black?

Hey guys, I’m conflicted between painting my car’s calipers a metallic black or red (with F Sport in white). My GS is Obsidian Black with stock rims and below is a pic of my ride (sorry for the poor pic quality). I found a pic of a fellow GS owner’s car with red calipers and attached that below as sort of a reference to how the red calipers might look.

What are your guys thoughts between red and black? Black is obviously a clean OEM look whereas Red would be more noticeable & add a bit more pop. If I do go red, I don’t think I would do the bright Brembo red…I was considering a slightly darker shade kinda like the Matador Red Mica offered on the exterior of the ES & LS.

Your thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I like the understated look of the calipers in black with Lexus written on the front calipers, similar to the RCF. I use to like the flashy look of red calipers, but not a fan of them on the small rear calipers.

Consider this mod to the rear calipers:

Not a big enough difference when done in Black compared to stock to justify the price IMO.
Go with Red.

I have a White GS and plan on doing the Calipers in Blue.

Also used to prefer the color ones but Ive learned that the flashy gets you glances while subtle touches gets you stares

I just did mine, and I think it came out well. Was also debating on blue, yellow, or red. The decals are also reflective.

Looks great! Did you do them or send them out to be done?

If you did them could you tell me where you got the color and what exact color it is?

Thanks, Seth.

A buddy of mine who owns a business in Las Vegas, I can get you his contact info. He does great work, fast shipping and well priced.

And thank you!

Thank you! Honestly I did it myself, I will find the color for you when I get home tonight. It's a two step process with a primer first, once it dries you apply the blue in order to achieve the correct color.
