Default Thinking of Ditching the 07 LS460L for a 13 GS F-sport CPO

Highly considering jumping out of my beloved 07 LS460L for a CPO 13 GS F-sport.

Please let me know if my rationale is accurate and/or thoughts on the GS option at hand.
(Yes, I am torn between f-sport and Lux version like everyone, but I figure I will have that immature "Left Out" feeling if I don't get the f-sport+ mode)

Trade-in quote will break even from what I owe.
I have an eye on a 13 GS F-sport CPO 33k miles, Liquid Plat with cabernet red for 37.4k+ (around 41k total).... thoughts on this?

I hate to give up my baby, she has been great to me, but I fear the loses will add up over time since it is almost 10 years old.

LS Facts:
PRO's - recent leak down test results motor is strong, all electrics are good, on the waiting list for a new dash and door panels, (every time I walk up to my car i fall in love with the look for the past 5 years), 145k with no major issues

CON's: 145k with no major issues meaning something will happen soon, my rear right air strut/shock has been busted (aka floating") the last year, the rear left looks like there is a small leak as well. I can't see buying one air strut for 1900 if i will eventually need to replace the others, received a quote for 4k for full air all the way around (aftermarket, will need to worry about leaks and sacrifice OEM quality). No idea if the controls arms and bushings are good or not, no leaky joints. There is a clinging sound in the front for some time when i go over rough road, I assume that is a bushing issue.

I am over modifying my cars, I simply drive it EVERYWHERE. I drive much more than the average person, 100k in the last 5 years, mostly CA freeway. I would gladly convert to non-air for the full suspension but seems that there may be an issue with the lights on the dash and errors. Some people say you can, others say you cant.

I feel that fixing the suspension will run around 5-8k and the current amount owed is 13k, so say my car will cost my around 20k outright in it's current form.

I say do it! At 145k miles there is a lot that can (and will) go wrong, much of which will be very expensive to repair. It's time to give it up...

If you have a deal where you can break even and not carry negative equity into your next car, take it. If you didn't owe anything on the LS I would suggest keeping it. But since you do owe on it I suggest cutting your losses and trading it in.

Living with regret is hard.

Get the GS F-Sport and put that smile back on your face.

Is the car @ Newport lexus in CA?
Negotiate 35-37K OTD (TOTAL).
41k is to much for the mileage

Concur, with the newer models on the horizon, prices will definitely drop. IMHO, the magic number OTD is $36.5, otherwise walk out the door.

Time to let the LS go, if it's not air suspension issues, it'll be control arms and brake actuators that'll kill your wallet.

That is correct, who do you have in your pockets there to get it done? I agree, one of the internet sales gentlemen quoted 41otd..

Oh my goshhh, I drove a White/w Black interior F Sport 4 days ago. It suits my well and my heavy foot. It also handles very well on curved road's and highways. Can't wait to get my hands on the GSF!

Fyi: Luxury also has S+. Some claim it's tuned differently for F Sports. Imo the difference is very minimal if there's any but f sport does have a more youthful look with the front and bigger wheels for sure. Also cabernet is a big plus imo.

Honestly don't have anyone there but had a mate that traded in his GS for 29k and dealer listed same car for around 38k. Same with this car 41k is to much. Also, don't chase them let them chase you do your homework/research go in and talk to manager with your offer if they don't budge leave them your number and walk out. Visit them end of the month as well.
