Default Rim Opinions: Work vs. Weds??

What's up everyone??

I am getting close to purchasing some new rims for the GS and would like some of your opinions. I'm either going with the Work VSXX in Burning Silver or the Weds Maverick 709M in Samurai Gold. They will both be 20" with a step lip.

I know the VSXX is a nice looking, popular rim, but I am leaning towards the Weds because I really like the gold on white look (I have the Crafted Line GS).

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!!

well..... they look very similar..

if I had to choose - it would come down to the color and price. which color I wanted more and if there was a difference in price.

Thanks for the response, Nebula.

I agree that they are similar looking rims. The price will probably be a few hundred dollars difference.

I like the look of the Weds better, especially because the spokes extends all the way to the lip. Share some pics as soon as you install which ever set you decide on picking up.

Yeah, they're available in step-lip now. Fellow CL member, neegroy has them on his 4th gen GS. And they look really good on there.

Here's a pic of his ride.

that is wonderful! i think on certain setup especially if lip size is decent, stepped lip gives it more dimensions!

It's a toss-up. The Work, for the record, are really, really strong wheels. And they have a real presence, so much so that you can recognize knock-offs easily because of them. Works gold os much brighter and deeper than Weds gold btw. Never rode on Weds but they are running on hell of a deal right now and are cheaper than new work by a sizable margin. And they look different enough that you can spot them from way off. Good luck on your decision.

Whatever you decide, get some great WHEEL LOCKS too.
