So now, is Flaxen and Cabernet officially removed from the interior color choices?

Anyone seen the new brown leather?

Same with the GS but the GS200 sales may hurt the ES sales at some point, especially if the price is so close. I mean who wouldn't want to be seen in a GS? Even though u don't have the 350 juice it's still a gotdamn GS!

I expect to see a few more GS's on the road with the 200t rolling out. However, since they aren't making it AWD, probably wont see as many here. The most popular lexus in toronto is the IS250AWD and the ES350.

To be fair, it's now 311 hp, so an increase of 5, not 3.

The FSport trunk badge that I got from the 2015 added 11.5 HP and that I can feel it!! Really, car feels faster at take offs.

I never liked the orange-ish Cabernet color that much, I like the deep red Rioja from the IS better. So that alone might drag me into the new one. The damn thing needs CarPlay already. Honda already made their move what is Toyota waiting for?!

The ES still has a lot of attributes over the GS that resonate with ES buyers. Its significantly bigger, especially in the back, thats a big one.

I don't think the GS is going to take ES sales, just as the IS doesn't when it really is in the same price class.

I've had time to let the design settle, I was away for the weekend...I don't like it.

Default Power Side Mirrors/Power Trunk Opener

Well, I have the GS awd 2013 and waited for the refresh for GS 2016. I have seen the Production Specifications and I am very surprised I do not see Power Side mirrors for opening and closing and Power Trunk Opener as have been the case with 2014 and 2015 GS. I did have the 2007 GS with these options then lost them to 2013 and looks like I will never get back..Any knowledge here from my favorite group. I have not seen the costs for options as is the case for the 2016 ES.

I'm sure the 2016 has power folding mirrors and a power trunk.

Personally...I have these features on the LS and wouldn't miss them at all if I didn't have them though. Why people make such a big deal about them is utterly beyond me.

Having power folding mirrors is nice. My CT doesn't have it and one time the guy next to me folded my right mirror in a rather tight parking lot cause he didn't want to accidently hit it. That was nice of him though but when I got in the car I wasn't aware of it and just drove off. Good thing I hit a red light like 2 blocks away so I can stop and pop my mirror back out. I was blinded along the way.

I couldn't care less about the power trunk but power mirrors would have been nice when pulling in my garage because I have to get close to the passenger side door opening when pulling in.

Thanks, everyone. Power Folding mirrors are important because of the garage, passenger side and parking with other cars around. Power trunk is no big deal.. Too many times I forget to open the right side mirror. Not a deal breaker. Keep you informed if the GS has these options like the ES and LS.

I see everyone's overlooking the fact that the GS200t might be a better daily driver than the GS350. It has almost as much torque as the 350 lower down the RPM range, which makes it move faster at low to average speeds.
Better fuel economy.
Probably we'll get the piggybacks in a year or so, and that will bring it up to 290 - 300 hp and as much torque. I wouldn't write it off so soon.

I'm driving a 2.0T and I know what it can do. That engine is unequivocally a better daily driver than the 3.5 NA in the GS.

Power folding mirrors is really nice in pretty much any parking situation. But I agree that a power trunk is close to useless.

Okay for those that say u can bring up the 200t HP to 300, how are u going to do it? Chip it? Has anyone been successful chipping a Lexus? I'm just curious cause u all made it sound so easy. BMW maybe, I've heard of the success stories but what about Lexus?

Maybe u can get bigger turbos to get more power, which brings u to what? About 300 HP? That would be in the 350's 3.5L territory, that's after spending a few thousands of Dollars right? Plus u lose ur warranty and MPG wouldn't be the same as stock I bet. Wouldn't it be better if u just get the 350 from the start? That way u still have warranty and get the same power without messing with it?

I don't know about Lexus tuning, I assumed was as easy as with BMW and Audi. I don't understand why a turbo by Lexus would be different.

Not sure if you extensively drove a modern turbo engine, but the difference is day and night. A 2.0T turbo can almost outrun a 3.5 NA. But let's not talk about racing: day to day driving is so . much . easier with a turbo engine. My 328i pulls at 1,800 RPM the way the GS 350 pulls at 4,500 RPM.

I'm not starting a turbo vs NA debate, to each its own. But from a gas mileage perspective, weight reduction, daily livability, and tuning potential, there's no contest.
