New Shoes for my 4GS!
I just bought a set of RC F forged wheels from a friend who just swapped them out for aftermarket ones. Paid only $800 for them, they are 19" Staggered wheels with Michelin Pilot super sport tires with only 100 miles on them. Not only does these look better than the luxury wheels that came on my GS but the really increase the performance of my car giving it more grip and enhancing the look. I weighted them and these are only 50.4 lbs fronts and 54.4 lbs rear. While the 18" Luxury wheels were 57.4 lbs each.

Thanks Guys! Now all I need is to lower my ride 2 inches and everything would be perfect.
I did notice that my steering wheel is more firm to steer especially in parking lots which I actually prefer anyways. Nothing like a beefy nicely weighted steering wheel.
And the best part is I can take her on the tail of the dragon with more confidence with little to no tire squeals unlike the Lux wheels with Michelin primacy mxms which breaks traction quite easily.

Wow that's a stealing deal. You can sell your old ones and make a profit. Lol. Those wheels remind me the Forged wheels made for non F sports. Those tires are nice. They cost 300+ before tax a piece new. I didn't know you could stagger on the Luxury. I do feel the steering on F Sport feels different from my old Luxury with 18". Not sure if it's the bigger wheels or the tuning that some claim. It feels a bit of more precise and heavier than Luxury with 18". In any case, it's a good change. And yes, I think 1" or 2" will improve the look.

You are correct....the GS could use a beefier steering wheel but what i was refering to is the feel of the steering wheel while turning.

Fronts are 19x9 | +41 Offset | 50.4 Lbs | Forged | Hyper Black
Rears are 19x10 | +50 Offset | 54.4 Lbs | Forged | Hyper Black
Both are weighted with Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed when new.

Does anyone know if the lighter aftermarket wheels theoretically ride more comfortably, or less comfortably than their heavier counterparts, presuming all other factors are the same, eg rim size and profile etc,

If you want the lightest wheels possible, 1 piece forged is the way to go.
