Adding a 4GS to the fleet
Hello folks, my mother is taking delivery of this 2015 Ultra White/Cabernet GS350 F-Sport. Just figured I'd say hello in here as I am her go-to advisor when it comes to cars. I'm active in the 2GS and 3GS forums, but hope to spend a bit more time here as well. Enough of my jabber, here's one picture to start us off; more to come post-delivery.

Congratulations Thomas!
I wish my mom would choose a GS but she bought a Prius instead.

I tried to convince my parents to get a new GS but they were convinced they wanted something new after driving their 1999 for over a decade. That car was why I wanted a GS to begin with. The GS just felt right. No wonder companies try to get children on board lol

The Bridgestones are even worse. Had them on my 2013 F-sport...the tread life isn't good, they don't ride very well, grip is mediocre, and they become noisy very fast. Lexus should be ashamed of putting those Bridgestones on such a nice car. Since your mom took delivery, I guess she'll either have to ask the dealer to swap them in their goodwill or just tough it out and replace when needed. The Michelin PSS definitely are way better tires.

What most people don't understand is that from a performance standpoint the Dunlop OEM tires that Lexus put on some GS 350s are the better tire. They may not last as long, they may be noisier, they may be more twitchy...but for aggressive driving, which many owners of a GS 350 often do, the Dunlop OEM tires are better than the other OEM tires. If you want to tame the beast and take some of the sport out of the car, then Michelin MXM4 tires are an excellent choice. It's kind of like buying a McLaren MP4-12C and complaining that the OEM tires are too soft and the suspension too stiff...

My stock Bridgestone still look new after 10K miles and I drive aggressively. I hope these tires will last until my lease is up. I'm so not looking forward to buy new tires, it's gonna be very expensive. Might as well use the money for the new car.
